How does Sylfirm X Microneedling Radiofrequency Work?
During Sylfirm X treatment, RF energy is used to heat up the dermal layers to about 40 to 60 degrees celsius which is ideal for strengthening the basement membrane for melasma, PIH, rosacea etc. Sylfirm X is a 300 micron targeted therapy for vascular & pigmented lesions. The microneedling device creates small punctures in the skin to speed up cell renewal which replaces lost collagen and elastin that leads to wrinkles, fine lines and acne scars. Sylfirm X is able to slow down signs of aging to create a younger-looking appearance. This treatment also improves overall skin tone with little to no downtime. We recommend 3-6 treatments depending on desired effect and treatment indication.
What is microneedling with radiofrequency?
Microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) is minimally invasive, non surgical, skin tightening on the face and body. RF microneedling with Sylfirm X uses 24 gold plated microneedles to transfer and deliver energy, allowing for deeper and more accurate deposit of energy into the tissue. The controlled micro-injury in conjunction with heat tells your body to restore skin with healthy amounts of collagen, tightening and firming the skin.
Results will start to become visible four to six weeks after each treatment since RF microneedling remodels collagen over this period of time. The controlled injury from the microneedles and RF stimulate new skin growth, stronger skin, and treats common issues such as eyelid hooding acne scars, pigmentation, and wrinkles. Immediately after your treatment, your skin appears mildly red, however deeper within the dermis it works to replace collagen, and create tighter and firmer skin. We recommend starting with a series of three to six treatments, and three treatments annually for ongoing maintenance.

Is radiofreqency with microneedling safe?

Is microneedling with radiofrequency painful?
RF microneedling facials are minimally painful. Sylfirm X uses a slow robotic arm during your microneedling facial that allows for optimal comfort during your treatment. Topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas to reduce potential discomfort. The session takes 45-75 minutes including the initial numbing cream. The pain is similar to getting laser hair removal or plucking hair. The most common effect you will notice includes the treatment area is pink skin which is to be expected. RF skin tightening can be used on the body as well, where we can treat sagging skin on the stomach and arms.
What are the side effects and aftercare instructions for Sylfirm X radiofrequency microneedling?
Patients typically experience 1-3 days of downtime. Common side effects include mild erythema and redness. Longer downtime is observed for treating acne scarring due to deeper depths of skin being treated. Applying sunscreen, wearing a hat, and skincare with healing benefits such as stem cell serums, or hydrating sheet masks are recommended.
Is microneedling with radiofrequency good for acne?
Acne, also known as acne vulgaris, is something we have all experienced sometime in our life. It can leave a mark on us physically and emotionally. RF microneedling is effective for managing acne scarring. One reason why acne scars exist is because abnormal collagen adhesions pull skin to the surface giving it a “pitting” appearance on the outside. RF microneedling treatments effectively break up collagen adhesions underneath pitted acne scars, and remodels the scars by restoring elastin and collagen along the surface of the skin. After 1-2 months the benefits of new collagen formation and remodelling occur. Six treatments are recommended.
