How are wrinkles caused?
Wrinkles mainly happen on the parts of the body with soft tissues that get the most sun exposure, including the face, neck, the backs of the hands, and the tops of the forearms.
These type of wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process. As people get older, their skin gets thinner, drier, and less elastic, and less able to protect itself from damage and allergic reaction. This leads to wrinkles, creases, redness swelling, and smile lines.
Facial expressions, for example, repeatedly smiling, frowning, or squinting can lead to frown lines and wrinkles at a younger age
How to treat wrinkles?
The sun's rays make us feel good, and in the short term, make us look good. But our love affair isn't a two-way street. Exposure to the sun causes most of the wrinkles and age spots on our faces.
1. Protect your skin from the sun
Sun exposure causes most of the skin changes that we think of as a normal part of aging. Over time, the sun's ultraviolet (UV) light damages the fibers in the skin called elastin. When these fibers break down, the skin begins to sag, stretch, and lose its ability to go back into place after stretching. The skin also bruises and tears more easily -- taking longer to heal. So while sun damage to the skin may not be apparent when you're young, it will definitely show later in life.
2. Focus on Alpha hydroxy acids
Alpha hydroxy acids are a group of natural and synthetic ingredients that, when properly formulated, can exfoliate the uppermost layers of skin. Doing so reveals fresher, refined skin that appears much smoother, is more hydrated, and, over time, becomes visibly firmer. Anyone concerned with looking younger, longer should consider adding an alpha hydroxy product to their skincare routine.
AHAs work by gently dissolving the intercellular “glue” that makes old skin cells stick to the epidermis. The result: The outermost layer of your skin looks brighter and finer. These skin smoothers may also stimulate the production of skin-supporting collagen and elastin. Some dermatologists also believe that AHAs enhance the skin’s moisture-retaining ability so the tissue maintains its soft, padded firmness against environmental damage to the skin caused by free radicals and can also reverse the effects of skin damage while keeping wrinkles at bay for much longer as they work to slough away dead skin cells, diminish existing damage and revitalize deeper layers of the skin.
3. Prevent wrinkles with a botox at Best Botox in Toronto
Botox treatment is used to reduce fine lines and offers wrinkle treatment by paralyzing the underlying muscles. These cosmetic injections promote the production of elastin and collagen, a pair of proteins that make young skin tight, firm and flexible.
As people age, repeated facial expressions wrinkle the face. At the same time, levels of elastin and collagen decline in the skin, causing it to sag. These two factors contribute to facial aging. Botox is made from the same bacterial toxin that causes botulism -- onabotulinum toxin A -- and is used to smooth out skin by paralyzing facial muscles
Many people look for antiwrinkle injections and anti-aging skin treatments who are not ready for invasive procedures like facelifts, nor do they even require extensive surgery. They just want a solution for minor facial wrinkles such as frown lines and crow’s feet.
